Duluth wins Twin Challenge

The Duluth swim and dive team won the annual Twin Challenge this past weekend, defeating Peachtree Ridge, Kennesaw Mountain, and Campbell.  Duluth scored 426 points, followed by KM at 411, Peachtree Ridge with 406, and Campbell finished with 310. In the boys competition, PR took first place while Duluth got second while in the girls competition KM took first and Duluth was second. Individual winners for the Wildcats were Ashley Neas (girls 200 and 500 freestyles, Kendal Reeves (girls diving), Melody Giberson (girls 100 freestyle), and Matthew Lee (boys backstroke). Those swimmers making state qualifying times included Ryan MacKinnon (100 back), Tyler Reason (100 breaststroke), Ashley Neas (200/500 freestyle), and Matthew Lee (100 backstroke). The Wildcats improved their team record to 7-0, while the boys and girls teams improved their records to 6-1.
